A record of The Sustainable Living Project in Hickory North Carolina.
What have you done today to lower your impact?
We are washing away the foundations of our existence on every front. It is high time we move from crashing about on the planet like a bull in china shop and find a way to go forward with intent. We must find systems of living based on sustainability. The systems and tools exist, it is up to each of us to adopt them.
The crow garlic is going to seed so we've been harvesting some for cooking. In the picture with the bulbs on the cutting board you can see little cloves on the side. We usually plant these back where we dug up the plant to continue the crop.
A builder who sees the finer things in this world and can make them better. Your work does not come from a long lost road, but from many years of proud intellect of the subject matter. When we see out to build something the foundation must be soild,so I see your's is just that.Nice work and please keep up the good moving/flowing examples to all of us EISENGON SCIFY thank you.
Jason Bourne Eisengon, here again to say your work keeps getting better. Please keep us educated on this fine subject matter.I shall communicate to all this year that your blog is the place to find-out what's really vital in this field.
In my first contact with you,I said "see" when in fact I wanted the word (set):So, I make this change today;however;there are some things we can't go back and change.
Let's hope the smart people of earth like you-shall have the power to change this world.Earth must say alive! It can have a longer life.Earth is alive today due to no small part because of peolpe like you. Smart-good people that care. Are not only found in sci fi novels, but they can be found right next door to us.

I am married, have no kids, a dog walker, a student of the science and technology of sustainability. I've completed an MSC in advanced environmental studies and energy. I've lived off grid on a small sailboat in Bermuda. I've been a teacher, a theatre technician, a carpenter, a drifter. My wife and I have the intent of once again going off grid, pursuing a permaculture based lifestyle and developing a community education program about the process. This blog is the record of that process and disparate items of interest as well.
