Closing the loop. It's a fish farm, it's an allotment, it's an orchard, it's a biomass farm, it's an educational project. No, it's all of these.
Check out this project in Yorkshire. I especially like the way they use the fish poo to feed worms which produce compost and are then fed back to the fish. Also, a nearby sewage treatment plant produces sewage sludge which is applied to a field to grow willow to be used for fuel.

We are washing away the foundations of our existence on every front. It is high time we move from crashing about on the planet like a bull in china shop and find a way to go forward with intent. We must find systems of living based on sustainability. The systems and tools exist, it is up to each of us to adopt them.
